Download the Infamous Heidi Saha Magazine from the 70s
I remember seeing ads in Warren Magazines  for posters and this weird one-shot magazine featuring Heidi Saha. The mag is all about the life of this cute teenager who was a huge sci fi fan and a favorite at costume contests at conventions. The publishers at Warren had some relationship with her parents and it was thought Warren was trying to promote this girl as a future movie star.
Well, no one bought the magazine. And it's fascination with this girl was almost inappropriate. 30 years later this became the stuff of legend. Rumors spread that the magazine had naked pictures and such of an underaged girl and all sorts of nonsense. Do a google search for more info.
FREE Download! 70s Lord of the Rings Magazine from Warren
This is a wonderful companion piece to the 1978 Ralph Bakshi animated film, the Lord of the Rings. The movie and its animation process had most critics split- some liked it, others hated it. I think at times the movie worked well, but ultimately fell flat. It still is a very interesting adaption that I highly recommend. It is neat to see how much the new Peter Jackson adaptions were influenced by this film- Jackson even used some of the exact camera angles that Bakshi first used in his movie. Although Ralph Bakshi's made money, he was not allowed to do a sequel. The animation company, Rankin-Bass, who also did the 1977 cartoon adaption of the Hobbit continued the story in their version of Return of the King.

Next is a great scan of the very first issue of Starlog Magazine! I still have several back issues from the 70s and 80s. Too bad it stopped publishing in 2009 and they don't seem to be doing anything with their website either. Back in the day this really the first serious magazine for sci fi fans across the world.
This vintage comic book version is almost as trippy as the movie. A must for Beatles fans!
Download the 1977 Star Wars Blueprints Book
I remember getting this set of Star Wars blueprints/posters as a kid in 1977 and studying them for hours.
More goodies. And I'll be posting a lot more once we release the Military Playset next week...

Great toy book from Starlog magazine, circa 1980. It says "Vol 1" on the cover but I don't think there were any more produced in the series. If you're into old sci fi toys then you're going to love this book.
